Please note that there will be a bus strike tomorrow, and it is currently unclear whether some buses will still be operating. In addition, university exams will be taking place that day. As previously informed, the morning sessions have been canceled due to exam conflicts.

The seminar session, however, will continue as planned. It will not be canceled. Students who are able to come are welcome to attend and work on their tasks.

If you are unable to attend due to transportation difficulties, you will be given the opportunity to stay a bit longer next week to complete your work. Please note, however, that extending the time next week may be somewhat challenging due to scheduling limitations.

Please note that you are expected to be familiar with the fundamental concepts covered in Data Networks (DN) or similar courses to ensure a smooth seminar experience.
For this purpose, we ask you to provide a certificate or course syllabus demonstrating that you have completed a course equivalent to “Data Networks.”

Router Lab

In this seminar, we take a hands-on approach to explore the workings of internet components and provide a deep understanding of the underlying protocols. Specifically, we examine how routers and switches can be configured and connected to a working IP network.
The seminar consists of a series of activities starting with setting up the hardware and introducing basic configuration for VLANs and IPv4/IPv6 networks and gradually moving to more advanced topics, including but not limited to routing protocols, virtual private networks, security, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Requirements: Participants should have sufficient knowledge of computer networks and how the Internet works, e.g., by successfully completing "Data Networks" (or an equivalent course), or by demonstrating relevant prior practical experience.
